Vista Murrieta started the season with a perfect 5-0 record. A few days after clinching their fifth victory the team and community was notified about the ineligible player that had on their undefeated team.

Moments later league and CIF officials reversed the team record as the Vista Murrieta Broncos forfeited each of their first five games.

With League play just ahead the team and community knew that the was still hope for the ultimate goal of a CIF Championship. Lead by Quarterback Derrick Brown, the Broncos remained to show the rest of the county why they had won their first five games. Go undefeated the rest of the way the Broncos were able to do what they were not capable of the past to seasons.

They brought home the Southern Section CIF Championship and finally found the rewards they were looking for. Breaking news from a sources stated this morning that the team will not be selected to the State Bowl game but after playing five games with an ineligible player we can all respect the committees choice. Congrats to the Broncos! It was a roller coaster ride but you earn it.
