Radio Silence is Golden

Coming straight out of the indie music melting pot known as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are the very delightful sounds of Khaild Quesada. Khalid is very talented singer and songwriter that may have just stuck music industry gold with his recent release Radio Silence. From the instrumentation to the melody, Mr Quesada is a breath of fresh air, the word play is above the rest by far and if we broke down each individual element of the track, most would agree, Radio Silence is Golden!

Just researching the artist online, I found Khalid has a very creative sense of humor mixed with a passion and style of the old school. It is even more evident as the 160 characters of his twitter bio reads "on a par with Elliott Smith, wearing an Elvis Costello t-shirt, fronting Weezer for fans of The Beatles", the man is very entertaining to say the least.

As child growing up in New Jersey, Khalid raised on the pop antics of The Monkees and Kiss, which he loved so much he decided at an early age that the one thing he wanted to do more than anything else was make music. Today the savy independent musician is dropping hit single like Radio Silence and We Love In Stereo. Both hits were also lifted for an the EP entitled On The Verge Of Context, which was self-released in physical form last year and recently had a digital release as well on iTunes, Amazon and most other digital music retailers.

Fans may be lucky enough to find Khalid performing a live set in Philadelphia, at venues such as World Café Live, Lickety Split, Connie’s Ric Rac, The M Room, Murph’s Bar, Triumph Brewery, among others. In addition, Mr. Quesada has also performed in Atlantic City at the Elephant Talk Indie Music Fest for the past three consective years. His success has recently volted him to the #4 slot on the ReverbNation Music charts and I am willing to bet he soon reaches #1.

The man is the past, future and present of music if you asking me, but now it's time for you to make your judgement. Be sure to check out hsit unes below and follow his weblinks. Drop your somments and let me know if you love Radio Silence as much as I do.
